The Ardglass Marina car park is an ideal starting point for a pleasant walk round the central area of Ardglass. There is a free public car-park at this location and this tour makes a natural loop back to this point if you leave your car here.

The Ardglass Marina is a community owned project initiated in the 1990s by Ardglass Development Association. The idea was developed by two men over a pint and it was originally envisaged that any surplus from this project is used to re-generate Ardglass.

It has a large number of regular berths for local users, as well as a busy trade with yachts passing through the Irish Sea between Scotland, England and the Irish South Coast.

Ardglass Marina is also very close to the entrance of Strangford Lough and boats can berth in Ardglass while waiting for a favourable tide before tackling the Narrows.
